The Air Travellers Security Charge (ATSC) Training Manual presents a
complete overview of ATSC policies and procedures, definitions of terms
specific to the ATSC, geographic zones, impact of stopovers and connections,
amount of collection, calculation, and rounding procedures, taxation
applicable to the ATSC, ticketing procedures and changes to BSP Canada tax
boxes, extensive examples of ATSC domestic, transborder, and international
journeys, exception transactions between listed and non-listed airports,
continuous journeys and multiple tickets (agent, wholesaler, consolidator),
exemptions, refund transactions (complete and partial), and reissue
transactions (even exchange, additional collection, refund exchange).
The training manual primarily focuses on tickets issued in Canada, and has been updated to accommodate legislative changes which trigger lower ATSC amounts effective for tickets and other traffic documents issued on/after 01 April 2004. Price per copy: CAD 20.00 if ordered before 01 April 2004 (plus applicable taxes for Canadian orders only). CAD 25.00 if ordered thereafter. Only online VISA and MasterCard transactions on ATC's secure web site are accepted. Please note that orders are non-refundable. The manual is available free-of-charge to CSTAR members (CSTAR members should e-mail their request for a free copy to postmaster@cstar.ca). Airlines participating in ATC's Concurrence Program may also qualify for a complimentary copy of this manual. To determine a carrier's status, airlines should contact ATC via SITA teletype at NYCATCR or via e-mail to postmaster@airlinetraining.org. The training manual is delivered electronically the same day, if ordered by 12:00 noon (ET), or the following business day if thereafter and is subject to distribution restrictions as indicated in ATC's copyright disclosure.
